World Class Schools for Our Students: Norwalk School Board Election

The Norwalk Community School District would like to inform the community of a new school board vacancy that will be filled during the upcoming school election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Director Kate Baldwin has recently announced her resignation from the Board of Directors effective November 2025. We sincerely thank Director Kate Baldwin for her dedicated service and contributions to the students, families, and staff of Norwalk.

With this resignation, three positions will now be on the ballot this fall:

  • Two full four-year terms (ending in November 2029) – currently held by Directors Justin Fletcher and Brian Rausch.
  • One partial term (ending in November 2027) – created by this resignation.

The Norwalk Board of Directors is made up of five at-large members who help set policy, oversee district governance, and support student achievement. Meetings are held monthly, with additional special sessions as needed.

Who Can Run?

Any resident located in the Norwalk Community School District who is a registered voter, at least 18 years old, and not employed by the District is eligible.

NAMA’s Joyful Giving Event

The Christmas season should be filled with joy—but we understand it can feel heavy when providing gifts for your children feels out of reach. The Norwalk Area Ministerial Association’s (NAMA) Joyful Giving Event is here to walk alongside families who need a little extra help this year.

 What the event provides:

  • Each child may receive up to $100 in gifts.
  • On the application, you’ll be able to share several gift ideas for your child—both fun items and things they may need.
  • From your suggestions, we’ll create a gift list that will be shared with a donor.
  • A separate page must be filled out for each child.

 Important to know:

  • Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee participation.
  • Our team will carefully review all applications and contact you if your family has been accepted or not.
  • If approved, you’ll receive details on how to sign up for gift pick-up.
  • Communication will come from joyfulgiving@norwalkhelp.org

 Applications:

  • Click here to complete an application.
  • Remember, you’ll need to complete a page for each child.

We’re truly grateful for the opportunity to support your family, and we hope this event helps bring joy and hope to your home this Christmas.

Warmly,

The Joyful Giving Team

Norwalk Area Ministerial Association (NAMA)
