The Steering Committee is Officially Formed!

The process of reconstituting our steering committee is now complete. This represents important step toward developing the capacity to meet our 2018-2020 strategic planning goals. One of our main aspirations for this process was ensuring that our coalition's diversity is better reflected in its governance. We are excited to work with the following people:

Algorithm Hackathon
IntegrateNYC

Researchers, coders, policymakers, parents, and students will come together to use real admissions data to make IntegrateNYC's students' vision for a transformed enrollment process a reality. INYC students hope to further develop their prototype into a fully-functioning equity-based choice algorithm to serve all 300,000 NYC public high school students. Help them make it happen!

  • University Park, PA (May 10): The Center for Education and Civil Rights at Pennsylvania State University is co-convening a national symposium of education, law, and policy scholars and practitioners at Pennsylvania State University. Three panels will explore integration issues on: 1) Policies and Practices Perpetuating Racial Inequality; 2) The Role of the State Today; 3) Growing Critically Conscious Teachers. RSVP before April 10, 2019.
