Seeking Nominations for the Vi Johnson Liberation Award
|
|
NCSF recognizes that voices, experiences, and contributions to the community are not homogenous or a monolith. We believe that a dedicated award that intentionally honors and celebrates the contributions of Black, Indigenous People of Color and the LGBTQ community is long overdue.
NCSF's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee is dedicated to honoring, celebrating, and amplifying these voices. We believe Vi Johnson’s contribution and leadership curates a legacy to be honored. As an author, activist, and advocate, she exemplifies leadership and vision. Traversing layers of marginalization, social and political stigma, and ideological oppression, she galvanized communities and promoted sexual liberation.
This award recognizes those who have and who continue to lead in sexual liberation.

NCSF Media Updates are a sampling of recent stories printed in US newspapers, magazines, and selected websites containing significant mention of BDSM-leather-fetish, polyamory, or Lifestyle issues and topics. These stories may be positive, negative, accurate, inaccurate or anywhere in between.
NCSF publishes the Media Updates to provide readers with a comprehensive look at what media outlets are writing about these topics and to urge everyone to make comments that dispute stereotypes about alternative sexuality. NCSF permits and encourages readers to forward these Media Updates where appropriate.
