SPOTLIGHT: Food Insecurity and Homelessness
Food insecurity and homeless remain significant issues impacting college students. A 2018 report from the University of Wisconsin HOPE Lab found that 36 percent of university students were food insecure in the 30 days preceding the survey; 36 percent of students were housing insecure in the last year; and 9 percent of students were homeless. These numbers were estimated to be even higher for community college students. See the resources and news clips below to learn more.

The National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments  Higher Education e-Digest  addresses campus and community engagement, health, safety, and security.
