Young Professional Spotlight

Conor Flynn is the Director of Research Contracts at the University at Buffalo, where he leads efforts to modernize how research agreements are negotiated and managed. He’s passionate about bringing innovation and technology into research administration, from using AI tools to redesigning workflows for better efficiency.


Conor is co-authoring “AI: Why Every Research Administrator Should Know How to Use It” for NCURA’s

upcoming Sponsored Research Administration guide and is developing an “AI in Research Administration” microcredential with Streamlyne. Outside of work, he’s a new dad to twin daughters and enjoys watching the Bills miss the Super Bowl and Sabres miss the playoffs.
