Winter is the prime time to prune dormant deciduous trees & shrubs.
WRAP DELICATE SHRUBS!
Heavy snow, ice, and high winds can dry and split your delicate shrubs. To protect them, a great option is to wrap these shrubs in burlap, or to hide them under overturned plastic pots or buckets.
Consider leaving ornamental grasses and interesting perennials such as: Cornflower, Black-Eyed Susan and Sedum in the landscape over winter months, as they add structure and interest to your winter landscape!
