Campus Ministry and Habitat for Humanity
On Wednesday, November 30, members of Campus Ministry experienced a day of service with Habitat for Humanity in Bridgeport. Students worked on preparing walls and siding in the warehouse. Participants included

Students Create Their Own Scarlet Letter
Mrs. Miller's junior English classes are currently presenting their Scarlet Letter project. Each student chose a virtue or characteristic that they needed to work on. They decorated their letters in very unique ways. Students presented their letters and explanations to the class. The letters were very well done, but the lessons that they learned were remarkable. It was a wonderful lesson in self awareness and discovery.

Campus Ministry Students Treat Students from St. James to Frosty
Members of Campus Ministry got into the holiday spirit by participating in a fun big brother/big sister event partnering with St. James School's second grade class on
Friday morning. Students attended a showing of
Frosty at the Downtown Cabaret in Bridgeport. Participants included
Hailey Antunes, Margaux Atkins, Dasha Bazile, Isaac Bjerklie, Deja Bynoe, Emily Carlson, Oliver Corrigan, Justin DaSilva, Taylor Ferreira, Grace Gallagher, Jenny Goldstein, Grace Kuntz, Deven Pierre, Hannah Rich, Joe Robles, Rebecca Rogalski, Sophie Stachurski, Claire Teskey, Kevin Vaca, Jenna Dorosh, Fabian Guerrier, Victoria Fagan, and Cheyenne Hill and Kim Valdovinos.

Junior Class Travels to Boston
The Junior Class recently traveled to Boston on their annual overnight class trip. Students took in the historic and cultural sights of the city (and the Charles River) on a Duck Tour, enjoyed lunch at Quincy Market and visited the Old North Church. The group then traveled to Fitchburg and spent the night and part of the following day at the Great Wolf Lodge.

26 Acts of Kindness Campaign
Notre Dame's annual 26 Acts of Kindness Campaign begins on Monday, December 5 and will run through February 3, culminating in our annual Community Service Day. Each school day has a different act of kindness associated with it, as we remember the 26 lives lost in the 2012 tragedy in Sandy Hook. All members of the ND community are invited to participate in our campaign. To view the full calendar of events, click here.

Love Life Candy Cane-Gram Sale
Love Life is sponsoring a candy cane-gram sale during lunches on
Wednesday, December 7 and Friday, December 9. Candy canes are fifty cents each and include a personalized Christmas tag to send a message to someone you want to spread some holiday cheer to before Christmas break. Candy canes will be delivered on
Thursday, December 15. The money from the sale will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation. Love Life members will also be getting together on
Wednesday, December 14 at 2:00 in room 201A to sort candy canes and have a Christmas celebration. Please see

Winter Arts Celebration
The Arts Department will present the annual Winter Arts Celebration on Wednesday, December 7 beginning at 7:00 pm. The Chorus, Band, and Dance classes will perform, student artwork will be on display, and baked goods will be available for purchase before, during and after the show. Come out and support the ND Arts program for what is always a great show!

mite box collection was for Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Thank you to everyone who generously donated. The next mite box collection will be on Wednesday, December 14 for Bridgeport's Department of Children and Families.

Join us if you're interested in crocheting or knitting for charity. It's a great skill to learn to make gifts for family and friends too. Sign up with

The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield Christmas Pointsetta Sale
Te Kiwanis Club is sponsoring their annual Christmas plant sale. Poinsettias are large, nursery quality plants. They are available in red, white and pink and cost $25 each. They will be delivered on

8 am to 11 am.

Save the Date! - Convivio March 3 - 5
Every year in the Diocese of Bridgeport, over two-hundred teens take part in a weekend event named CONVIVIO, an international conference of Catholic youth. The program first came to the United States in 2010. Coming from different towns and regions, teens meet at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield to be challenged in their Faith and to encounter Christ. This year's event will be held from March 3 - 5, 2017. Click here for more information.

On December 12, students thirteen years old and over who provided their email address on their PSAT/NMSQT answer sheet will receive an email reminder explaining where and how to
view their PSAT scores
. Students thirteen and over who took the PSAT 8/9 can create an online account to view their scores. Students can set up a
free College Board account
at any time.

Applications for Cambridge Immerse 2017 Are Open to Students! Cambridge Immerse is a unique two-week residential educational experience that allows participants to gain an unrivaled insight into a chosen discipline, ranging from the arts to the sciences. Subjects offered include Computer Science, Medicine, Law, Economics, History and Engineering and many more. The academic program is designed and taught by tutors from Oxford and Cambridge University in England in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic inquiry. And the carefully planned schedule ensures that the program not only meets the academic needs of the participants, but also provides a unique insight into the university city through an abundance of activities.
Students reside in Queen's College or Christ's College, prestigious and central colleges of Cambridge university. Within their historic walls, the program prides themselves on providing unique experiences of leadership and academic excellence through a program for participants that instills the confidence and passion for learning that are essential to success in higher education.

Lancer Week in Review
The Lancer football team ended its season on a high note with a solid win over Pomperaug, 27-8, finishing the season at 5-5, the football team's best record since 2007. The Lancers were led by Micah Brantley '18, who was 6 for 10 for 170 yds and 2 touchdowns, 1 receiving touchdown. Mike Bevino '17 had 3 receptions for 151 yds and 2 touchdowns and threw for 1 touchdown in the win. Defensively, Tavon Simpson '18 made 3 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries, Clyde Auba '18 had 7 tackles, Anthony Emanuel '18 had 8 tackles, and Wesley DaSilva '18 had 4 tackles. Congratulations to Coach Sadler, his coaching staff, and the entire football team for a very successful season.
