LANCERS IN ACTION

Students in Foundation Art Studio completed their Self-Reflective Collages for their Midterm projects. The word "collage" stems from the French word "coller" - which means "to glue." The students spent many class periods going through magazines, catalogs and newspapers to find words and images that related to them. They had to create an interesting and well crafted piece including their images, words and a photo of themselves as a child or as they appear today. The consensus was that ..."this is a fun project yet quite challenging to have to find all of the particular design elements in pre-printed media."
