LANCERS IN ACTION

This week’s Academic Spotlight is on senior Celeste Marin who was nominated by her Theology teacher, Mr. Sweeney. In his nomination, Mr. Sweeney said that Celeste is a model student who consistently completes all her work on time. She always comes to class well-prepared, asks thoughtful questions, and conducts herself in a professional manner when presenting projects. Above all, Celeste is kind to her peers and quick to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Eight students from NDP attended the annual CMEA Western Region Honors Festival at Wilton High School. All high school music students in the region are eligible to audition, and the top scoring students are invited to participate in the festival. At the festival, students spent two days working in these prestigious music ensembles with renowned guest conductors and teachers and gave two beautiful concerts on Saturday evening. Gabriel Espada and Felix Wang represented the band, Ellawood Pullen represented the orchestra, and Barbara Pohlen, Cayden Santa, Christopher Santa, Salina Velasquez, and Maddie Venech represented the chorus. This is the most students ND has ever had qualify for Regions in a single school year. Congratulations!

There are over 65 incredible solutions for the Foundation Art 1 Midterm!

The students created self-reflective collages packed full of images and words from magazines and newspapers. Each piece was a carefully planned composition of visuals plus pops of silver and gold "rivets", dots/dashes. These pieces are so inviting and full of life! (Clockwise from top left: Arianna Spearman '26, Sara Jarvis '25, Diego Marques '27, and Jameer Reed '26.)
