LANCERS IN ACTION

This week's Academic Spotlight is focused upon junior Luis Chavez. Nominated by his French teacher, Mrs. Anderson-Zaczkowski, she described Luis as a conscientious student who has made incredible strides in his foreign language studies! A member of the French III class, Luis works hard –- encompassing each lesson with impressive results. He is equally conscious of those around him, often coming to the aid of those who need help. He recently displayed this integrity while in Paris during spring break when ND students were scurrying through the underground Metro to make it to their next connection. Noticing an elderly French woman who was struggling with her belongings while ascending a stairwell, Luis quickly picked up her baggage and carried it for her to the next level. For his commitment to personal success and helping those in class and even internationally, this week's Spotlight is shined upon Luis Chavez.

Dancers in Dance Rep take turns giving a warm-up and mini lesson of their choice throughout the semester. Here Carine Blanc teaches the Kompa, a Haitian social dance, in honor of Haitian flag day.

We hope our seniors enjoyed Thursday morning's class meeting, complete with breakfast and the release of our 2023 yearbook. Special thanks to Luka Silva '21 for stopping by to share some college advice with our soon-to-be graduates!
