SERVICE DAY PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Service Day is back and will be held on 11/18 from 8-2. On this day, the entire school goes out to nonprofits across the county. Volunteers need to be Virtus trained. Please email Jess Medoff if you can help chaperone Service Day at jmedoff@notredame.org.

VIRTUS TRAINING COURSE - All school volunteers must be Virtus trained. If you aren’t, there will be a class for Notre Dame on 11/2 at 5 pm on Zoom. Preregister here. (Volunteers can sign up for other sessions if more convenient).

Help the ND Cheerleaders Recycle Used Sneakers!
Sneakers will either be sent to third world countries or recycled and used for playground flooring. Please help us reach our goal of 100 pairs of sneakers by dropping them in the box near the school entrance.

Service Day is Back
On Friday, November 18, the entire school community will be out volunteering at various nonprofit organizations. More information will follow, but for now we need help from our families. If you you work for a nonprofit organization that could use chaperoned student volunteers anytime between 8-2pm that day, please contact Jess Medoff. We also need Virtus trained volunteers to help chaperone groups of students. If you are not trained, preregister here for next next training offered via Zoom on 11/2 at 5pm.

| The Key Club is sponsoring a toiletries drive for our female and male veterans at Homes for the Brave. The drive will run through THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3. All items must be new and unused. The items they need are hand soap, deodorant, body wash, moisturizing lotion, bars of soap. You can drop off the items in the main office. | Peace by Justice is collecting Thanksgiving and Christmas decor and other holiday items to support Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore fundraiser. Examples include lights, decorations, place settings, books, wreaths, candles, etc. All items should be brought to room 206 by November 9th. | |

This Week in Lancer Sports | |
Football
The ND Lancer Football team defeated Brookfield 33-27. The Lancers were led by Raijon Pettway, who rushed for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns on offense, and recorded 18 tackles on defense. Antwan Davis, Joey DeJesus, and Damon Hibbert also added scores, with Ariel Hanley adding 14 tackles of his own on defense. The Lancers are back at home Friday night against Bunnell.
Volleyball
Following a 3-2 loss to New Fairfield, the Lady Lancers rebounded to defeat Amistad 3-0. With a victory over Bassick next Tuesday on Senior Night, the volleyball team will secure a CIAC state tournament birth.

Girls' Soccer
The Girls' Soccer team continued their dominance in the SWC during the last week of regular season play. Led by Gemma Grech, Izzy Chimento, and Sarah Regier, the girls sealed the #1 seed in the SWC tournament. They defeated Newtown 2-1 and drew with Brookfield 1-1. The Lancers started the SWC tournament with a first round matchup against Joel Barlow on Friday. The Lancers will also hold a top 5 seed in the state tournament that begins next week.
Boys' Soccer
Boys' Soccer secured a state tournament berth this past week with impressive results against teams at the top of the division. The boys traveled to Newtown and fought to a 1-1 draw. During the last game of the season against Brookfield, the Lancers needed either a win or draw to advance. The boys were led by Landon Ulloa to a 4-1 victory. The boys await the tournament draw to see where they will travel next week for their first round matchup.
