Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are safe and dry today as we wait out Hurricane Debby's passing. We are at least getting some much needed rain.

I apologize that we had to change the meeting date for August. Unfortunately, the principals in Davidson County had to attend a mandatory meeting on the 13th. So, rather than have a meeting with no focus, we decided to go back to the 20th. Ron Sink and Davidson Water will be providing the meal and program for us. Please bring any items your business would like to add to gift bags for the principals. We will still be assembling/delivering the principals some treats for the new year!

Please remember the school supply drive we are doing in conjunction with CLDC. Those donations need to be dropped off early next week.

Additionally, it's time for everyone to be thinking about what you want to donate to the Christmas Party and Auction in December. We will be back at Weathervane Winery again. We really appreciate Sid and Miranda Proctor for having us back!

North Carolina Zoo

The North Carolina Zoo is reaching a milestone this year. Please join us in celebrating our 50^th anniversary. Plans are underway to launch two new fundraising events as well as continue building the success of the popular family-friendly event – BOO at the Zoo.

Last year, our Zoo reached its goal of one million visitors during its 2023 season and we are confident that the goal will be met again this year. Guests can see the ongoing progress of Asia construction and habitat expansion each time they visit.

Please consider partnering with us to help raise money for our Zoo. We request that you add these exciting events to your events calendar. We invite statewide Chamber of Commerce Members the opportunity to attend and/or sponsor any or all of these events.  

·       Boo at the Zoo – Annual daytime alternative to the nighttime Trick-or-Treating, Saturday and Sunday, October 26^th & 27^th   9-4 p.m. Candy locations in the Park, Inflatables, Games, DJ/Dance Party & Costume Contests.
