VISION ZERO INFRASTRUCTURE SAFETY AWARDS


Eligibility dates are October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025

Nominations are due December 31, 2025

NDDOT is accepting applications/nominations for Vision Zero Infrastructure Awards. These awards are an annual event to recognize people, groups, organizations, programs, and projects that improve infrastructure safety across the state of ND for a safer and better quality of life. There are the three categories:


  • Individualthis award is designed to recognize an individual who has made outstanding contributions to promote or implement Safety Improvements or Programs on North Dakota’s state or local road system. 

Vision Zero Infrastructure Safety Award - Individual


  • Programthis award is designed to recognize organizations that have made a difference within their agency, community, or the state to be recognized. The program should be such that it implements or improves safety throughout the state, region, county, community, or organization regarding transportation related infrastructure.

Vision Zero Infrastructure Safety Award - Program


  • Project  - this award designed to recognize a project that improved safety in an area regarding transportation related infrastructure. The project can be roadway improvement, bicycle/pedestrian, or a multi-modal project that demonstrates a commitment to improve safety.

Those who receive an award will be recognized at the Vision Zero Partner Conference awards banquet to be held May of 2026.

This program is offered with sponsorship from FHWA, ND Department of Transportation, Western Dakota Energy Association, ND Insurance Reserve Fund, ND Township Officers Association, the Northland Chapter of the American Traffic Safety Services Association, and ND chapter of the American Public Works Association.
