On-line Learning Opportunities Available
The Transportation Learning Network (TLN) is a division of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at North Dakota State University. TLN is governed by a committee representing each of the participating state DOTs and Center for Transformative Infrastructure Preservation and Sustainability (CTIPS)—formerly Mountain-Plains Consortium (MPC)—universities.
TLN was developed to serve the transportation interests of the region and complements the efforts of its various members. It provides access to information and expertise not readily available to transportation professionals in the region. TLN identifies, schedules, distributes and warehouses technology transfer for its members.

The Western Dakota Energy Association (WDEA) Roundtable will be held May 27, 2025 at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City, ND.
The Roundtable provides an opportunity for State, County, Municipal, Township, Industry personnel and others to meet and share information and best practices with their peers. The goal is to bring as many different perspectives together to discuss transportation topics for Western ND.
There is no fee for registration. Registration is required for name tags and a headcount for lunch. Lunch is provided by WDEA/NDPC.

The SS4A application deadline is approaching - applicants are encouraged to send technical questions to the SS4A inbox, ss4a@dot.gov, by Thursday, May 29.
· May 29, 2025, by 5 PM ET: Deadline for technical questions related to the FY25 NOFO.
· June 26, 2025, by 5 PM ET: Deadline for all SS4A Grant applications. NOFO closes. Applications must be submitted in Valid Eval.

Roads for All (SS4A) Notice of Funding Opportunity
Established by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the Safe Streets and Roads for All grant program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. Over $982 million is made available by this NOFO, and a similar amount is expected to be available next year in a future funding round.
The Department of Transportation has released the fiscal year (FY) 2025 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program.
The SS4A program provides funding for two main types of grants:
· Planning and Demonstration Grants are used to develop, complete, or supplement an Action Plan, as well as carry out demonstration activities that inform an Action Plan.
· Implementation Grants are used to implement strategies or projects that are consistent with an existing Action Plan and may also bundle funding requests for supplemental planning and demonstration activities that inform the Action Plan.
Established by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) competitive grant program will provide $5 billion in grant funding over five years. Funding supports regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. Read about how SS4A is impacting communities here.

2025 Innovation Champions Program
The NDLTAP is interested in knowing what successful innovation(s) your department has developed, designed, and fabricated that promotes safety, increases job efficiencies, and/or demonstrates savings to your agency.
We will enter your innovation into the Innovation Champions Contest as well as share that information with local highway, tribal, and street departments across the state. The contest is a great way for your department to get well earned recognition for their efforts.
We are accepting submissions for 2025 from all ND road and street departments. Entries for the contest are accepted through July 31.
