NDLTAP is excited to introduce you to Kelly Bengtson. Kelly will be visiting with local and tribal agencies about a variety of topics. Kelly has great knowledge in the GRIT program, so he will be the go to person when you need assistance working with the GRIT program. Other areas of focus for Kelly will be on bridges, pavement preservation, gravel quality, and also roadway and employee safety. He is well versed in numerous areas since he is a former County Engineer. He has a wealth of knowledge to share with local and tribal agencies so we encourage you to reach out to Kelly for any assistance you may need.

On-line Learning Opportunities Available
The Transportation Learning Network (TLN) is a division of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at North Dakota State University. TLN is governed by a committee representing each of the participating state DOTs and Center for Transformative Infrastructure Preservation and Sustainability (CTIPS)—formerly Mountain-Plains Consortium (MPC)—universities.
TLN was developed to serve the transportation interests of the region and complements the efforts of its various members. It provides access to information and expertise not readily available to transportation professionals in the region. TLN identifies, schedules, distributes and warehouses technology transfer for its members.

The 2025 WDEA Roundtable hosted by UGPTI and WDEA is in the books. This great event was held on May 27th in Watford City at the Rough Rider Center. A shout to the NDPC and WDEA for sponsoring lunch.
The Roundtable offers Local and Tribal Agencies to come together to discuss pressing or new issues or new things from Legislation. This has always been a great opportunity to share information on how Local and Tribal Agencies can work together with the Energy Industry to limit disruptions, keep the industry moving, and keep ND growing in the energy sector while maintaining and improving the Quality of Life.
On this years agenda, we had US Representative Fedorchak, Governor Armstrong, and NDDOT Director Ron Henke speaking. Among other highlights, we had presentations on Safety Corridors, updates from DMR Director Anderson, Electrical Power Generation updates, an Industry panel led by Brady Pelton, and learned about Fire Prevention/Management.
