On-line Learning Opportunities Available
The Transportation Learning Network (TLN) is a division of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at North Dakota State University. TLN is governed by a committee representing each of the participating state DOTs and Center for Transformative Infrastructure Preservation and Sustainability (CTIPS)—formerly Mountain-Plains Consortium (MPC)—universities.
TLN was developed to serve the transportation interests of the region and complements the efforts of its various members. It provides access to information and expertise not readily available to transportation professionals in the region. TLN identifies, schedules, distributes and warehouses technology transfer for its members.

The Transportation Learning Network (TLN) at Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at NDSU is looking for a Helpdesk & Learning Success Coordinator: a team player who thrives on providing exceptional customer support and ensuring smooth delivery of online learning programs across multiple partner states.
You will be the friendly face (and steady hand) behind our Learning Management System (LMS), assisting thousands of learners, instructors, and partners.
Your work will support workforce development and continuing education for transportation professionals, helping improve infrastructure and public safety. In this role, you’ll:
- Provide responsive helpdesk support and resolve LMS issues with care and clarity.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, webinars, and hybrid learning events.
- Manage learner accounts, track completions, and update educational content.
- Assist with internal marketing efforts and communication across partner states.
- Play a vital part in improving user experience and training outcomes.

The North Dakota League of Cities will hold its Annual Conference on September 17-19, 2025, at the Bismarck Event Center.
The Annual Conference is the NDLC’s signature education and networking event bringing together local leaders from across North Dakota to share experiences and discuss current events and trends affecting their communities. These municipal decision-makers are also looking for quality providers and experts for a variety of products and services. NDLTAP Begins Delivering the Motor-Grader Operator Trainings
Keeping operators and traveling public safe on the road. The operators are learning efficient and effective grading techniques and what it takes to make a better roadway. Through this training operators are gaining confidence in themselves and their jobs.

NDLTAP Provides Advanced Bridge Training in Hankinson - Richland County
A big shout out to Richland County for hosting "Advanced Bridge Class" in Hankinson. The new Richland County shop has a great area for conducting training.
NDLTAP had great participation from everyone and it was a great day to go look at a couple bridges. We had planned for a couple bridges and at the last minute, Richland County received a Critical Finding on another bridge. The Critical Finding was a perfect opportunity to look at a bridge in need of repairs and made for a great class discussion.
Instructors for this training were Matt Luger, NDDOT; Nancy Huether, PE, and also Matt Gregg, Wheeler Lumber. NDLTAP would like to thank all of them for sharing their knowledge with the class.
