The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced this morning the applications guidelines for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds almost a month earlier than originally planned.

A few quick facts:
*              Only past or current NEA grantees are eligible to apply.
*              Maximum amount is $50,000.
*              Must only be used for payroll and facilities expenses.
*              First deadline is April 22nd using Grants.gov
*              NEA grant portal deadline is May 4th
*              Take note of the information in their FAQs about SAM.gov registration extension.
*              40% of their $75 million appropriation will be distributed through State arts agencies to comply with
longtime policy of the agency.

the California Arts Council for that money (guidelines and amounts are expected to be announced by CAC soon).
