We are pleased announce a new co-chair for the NEC Healthcare Committee. Alison MacDonald is Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health’s Vice President of Policy and Federal Affairs. In this position, she serves as a liaison between Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Congress and the Administration. 
 
A proud New Hampshire native, Alison has lived and worked in Washington, DC, for over twenty years. Prior to joining Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Alison served as Senior Health Policy Advisor to Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) where she was responsible for the Senator’s health care portfolio including the Senator’s domestic and international health-related Appropriations Committee work.
 
Alison has also worked at the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (now America’s Essential Hospitals) and at Schrayer & Associates, a political consulting and grassroots strategies firm. She is an adjunct professor at the Milken Institute of Public Health at the George Washington University and holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Colgate University, a Master of Public Administration from American University and a Master of Health Care Delivery Science degree from Dartmouth College.
