Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) spoke about changes she believes Congress should make to the U.S. bankruptcy system at a Congressional Roundtable breakfast in Boston on July 16, 2018.  The breakfast was sponsored by NEC member John Hancock Financial Services.  Sen. Jim Himes (D-CT) briefed New England Council members on recent issues before Congress, including his work on the House Financial Services Committee, at a July 18, 2018, Capital Conversations breakfast in Washington, DC. At a July 23, 2018 Congressional Roundtable breakfast, Rep. On July 24, 2018, NEC member Amica Mutual Insurance Company hosted a group of New England Council members in their suite at McCoy Stadium for a Pawtucket Red Sox game.  NEC President & CEO Jim Brett was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game against the Columbus Clippers.
