We believe that the NECC can play a vital role in supporting the physical, emotional, and social needs of our community.
We believe that eliminating systemic barriers to programs and activities that support individuals and the community creates equitable access for all.
We believe that the NECC can strengthen community connections.
We believe in building a diverse and inclusive staff and board that represents the neighborhoods we serve, and we value the life experiences of BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, and other persons identifying as a member of a community that has been marginalized.
We believe that the NECC can participate in dismantling oppressive systems that embed barriers to BIPOC people, communities, and to others similarly impacted.
We believe that the NECC has an important role in furthering racial and social justice in NE Portland.
We can ONLY achieve these ambitious goals with the participation of our community.
