Digital Teaching Symposium
The Digital Teaching Symposium takes place Thursday, November 10 from 8:00 AM – 11:15 AM, 1:00-4:15 PM ET and then 8:00 PM – 10:25 PM ET.

This presentation shows how our community college, made up of seven colleges across Chicago, launched, trained and implemented the Anthology Ally accessibility tool to widespread success.

Learn some fun ways to use emojis in your teaching. They allow instructors to reinforce a point or make a comment on something emotional, encourage shy students to give more feedback, offer an alternative to providing feedback via language, and they’re just fun!

Transparency in Teaching and Learning (TiLT)
Facilitated by Trish Schade and Elle Yarborough, join us for the Transparency in Learning and Teaching Project (TiLT) workshop series. The workshops are carefully designed to help you help students understand the goals and rationale for each assignment, to create assignments that reduce inequities through transparency, and to develop meaningful course activities that assist students at difficult transition points.

  • Authors from a forthcoming book on Anti-Racist Community Engagement to be published by Campus Compact in Summer 2023, and
  • Members of the New England Equity and Engagement Consortium on civic learning outcomes grounded in racial equity.

Held both in-person and virtually, the symposium will feature opportunities for participants from across the country to engage in conversation with each other.

Participation will be free for faculty, staff, and students from any public college or university in Massachusetts or any member institution of Campus Compact—as well as for community partners of any institution of higher education. There will be a small charge for other participants.

We are excited to announce that call for proposals and conference registration is now open for the 4th Annual Community College Showcase: Centering Care and Equity in a New Landscape! 

This is a free, 2-day professional development event that will take place virtually on February 9-10, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. EST - 4:30 p.m. EST.
This annual conference is hosted by the Ed.D. in Community College Leadership program at New Jersey City University; a practice-focused, 55-credit online program, designed to be completed by working professionals in 3 years. The Showcase is a signature event in our series of year-round Community College Convenings and is open to all faculty, staff, and administrators who are passionate about the equity and success mission of the community college.
