Hot Topics in Higher Education: Are America’s College Campuses Too Liberal?
with President Lane Glenn
Wednesday, December 4, 2019
12:30-1:30pm
Lawrence Campus, Dimitry L-144
For decades, some conservatives have expressed concern that most college professors are liberal, and that their political views are often inappropriately expressed in the classroom. In recent years, those concerns have found broader interest, leading to surveys suggesting that two-thirds of Republicans have a negative view of higher education, and nearly 80% cite liberal ideological professors as one of the biggest problems. Those same surveys find confidence in higher education among Democrats, while still strong, beginning to fade as well. Articles will be forwarded following registration.
