A WONDERFUL Day was had by all!
Well, we couldn't be happier to report that the NEECA/Athol YMCA's first ever, VERY special Triathlon was a huge success! The common theme of the day was SMILES.
Runners.....Riders.....Bikers....everyone had a smile on their face. We were given the gift of beautiful weather, some very hardworking volunteers, and a fun group of competitors that took to heart our goal of making this an enjoyable day to get out with friends and family, get a little exercise, and have some fun.
Here were the placings:
Teams: 1st place - Dream Team,
2nd -Hideaway Hillbillies
3rd - Pine Oak Stables
Individual: Runner - Jack Palumbo
Cyclist - Shawn Fitzgibbons
Equestrian - Ann Degnan
A special Shout Out to Sue Ellen Mowcomber from NEECA, and Kelly Anne Knower from the Athol YMCA, for all the hard hours of work they put in to organize this wonderful event!
Plans are definitely in place to hold this wonderful event again next year, so start your training for it now and join us!
We have the link to over 300 pictures taken at this past Saturday's NEECA/Athol YMCA Triathlon. Wow, they are spectacular. We thought folks were having a good time, but now we know for sure they were!
A VERY special thanks to Dawn Laughlin from The Farm at Millstone Oaks in Phillipston, MA for these amazing pictures. Dawn has generously offered download of these pictures for free! What beautiful memories they will provide for our participants.
