WORK DAY AT NEECA HAPPENING ON SATURDAY, APRIL 11TH AT 9 A.M.

(RAIN DATE: APRIL 25TH)

NEECA places a lot of emphasis on continuing to improve and add to the amenities offered at the park. The good news is that every year we seem to be able to add something new to its offerings. The "kind of" bad news is that the more we have, the more we need to maintain.

So every year we ask our members to give us a couple of hours of their time to help keep NEECA looking good, and more importantly, staying safe.

This year's planned projects include: cleaning/organizing the various booths where we store our supplies, staining the benches near main arena, painting the white sign posts to freshen them up, sprucing up the entrance, checking the trails for any downed trees/branches from the winter, opening up the Confidence Course and checking it for safety, and staining/painting the jumps out on the trails.

Whew! Sounds like a lot, right? But it's really not if we have enough people show up to help out. In addition to helping NEECA look great, it's a wonderful opportunity to get to meet other NEECA members. We usually wrap up by Noon to 1 pm if we have enough help, and end the day by sitting down and enjoying a "Pop Up Pizza Party"!

We hope you can join us this year, and feel free to bring a friend!

In celebration of NEECA's 25th Anniversary (2001-2026) we are going to do something very special this year. We will be running a contest where the winner will receive a FREE Lifetime Membership to NEECA!

We will be awarding points to everyone who: volunteers at a NEECA event, attends a NEECA event,or attends a "non" NEECA event that is held at the park. At the end of the year, the person with the most points will win a FREE Lifetime Membership.

3 points if you volunteer

2 points if you participate in NEECA event

1 point if you participate in non-NEECA event held at park

There will be a QR code available at each event where people can sign in to have their points tracked. So make sure you sign in when you're up at NEECA!

NEECA'S GENERAL MEETING RECAP

NEECA’s 2026 season is off to a fantastic start! Our annual March General Meeting brought out a great crowd, with many people eager to learn more about everything we have planned for the year ahead—and we’re pretty sure they left feeling excited about what’s to come.

Sue Ellen opened the meeting by sharing an overview of NEECA, including membership information, recent accomplishments, and a look at upcoming projects. From there, organizers of this year’s events each took a moment to introduce their plans and give attendees a preview of what to expect throughout the season.

To wrap up the evening, a few lucky participants went home with fun door prizes, and—as always—we finished with time to relax, connect, and enjoy some complimentary refreshments together.

If you're a 2026 NEECA Member and didn't receive the link for your online copy of Community Horse magazine, please email us at neeca1958@gmail.com and we'll forward you the link. This Spring issue contains a great feature on NEECA!

HOW CAN YOU HELP NEECA GROW?

In 2025 NEECA has been the grateful recipient of nearly $6000 in donations from supporters. All of this money is used to help NEECA grow and improve. These recent donations made the purchase of the jumps mentioned above possible this year.

If you would like to show your support of NEECA, we have added a donation button to the home page of our website, www.neeca.org, where you can make a one-time or recurring donation to NEECA in the amount of your choosing. As always, we are so very appreciative of all the support shown to NEECA from our very generous supporters!

NEECA is a 501(c)3 so your donations may be tax deductible.
