The always fun NEECA Fall Social will be taking place again this year at the Ellinwood Country Club in Athol. The date is a week earlier than usual, so we'll be there enjoying ourselves on Saturday, Oct. 26th. Tickets will be available mid-September and this event usually sells out, so don't delay in reserving your tickets once they become available in early September.

If you've attended in the past, you know that we always have a whole bunch of fun activities lined up, including: a great dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles, prizes, awards and some fun games. Both the NEECA Gymkhana and Heron's Crest Schooling Show will be handing out series awards at the Fall Social again this year. We will naming our "Volunteer of the Year" recipient for 2024.

We've had some amazing auction items donated in the past thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters, and we hope this year will be no different. If you have a service or item you would like to donate to the auction, please contact CarolineMansfield01@gmail.com. We will give a "shout out" on our FaceBook page, which currently has over 3300 horse loving followers, to any business/individual that makes a donation to the auctions. It's a GREAT way to get the good word out about your business to our local equestrian community.

TRACTOR SUPPLY MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT UPDATE: It is with sincere regret that we must announce that due to a change in management at the Orange Tractor Supply NEECA members will no longer receive a 10% discount off their horse related purchases at that store. Upon learning from members that the discount had been discontinued, we reached out and spoke directly to the store manager in the hopes he would reconsider his decision to terminate this long standing arrangement that we feel benefitted both our membership and the store. Unfortunately he declined to reinstate the discount.

We realize that this is disappointing news as many of our members saved a significant amount of money every year due to this discount. However, we would ask you not to address this issue with the store personnel as they have no control over this decision. If you have any input/feedback, we recommend you address it directly with the new store manager, Trent McShea. Fortunately a NEECA membership still brings with it a lot of great money saving benefits, including discounted fees to attend NEECA events, a discount at Hardwick Farmers Coop, a free subscription to Community Horse Magazine, and numerous other discounts from local businesses/services.
