NEECA News -- SEPTEMBER, 2022
PREVIEW NEECA'S 2022 CALENDAR OF EVENTS. CLICK ON EACH UNDERLINED EVENT FOR DETAILS.

NEECA has been pretty darn busy the last few weeks. We hosted 26 participants at the Pete Whitmore Versatility Clinic last Saturday, 10 NEECA Drivers showed up to take part in the driving day on Monday with Devin Burdick, and this weekend we have two exciting events to look forward to.

We have wonderful pictures from all our events on our FaceBook page.

Our first ever Hunter Pace is happening at 9 a.m. on Saturday. At last count we had 26 riders registered for this event. Then on Sunday, the sixth gymkhana in our seven event series will be taking place. And the weather is looking beautiful for both events!
So come down and join us, with or without a horse, because both of these events are fun to watch! More information on these events available at neeca.org

NEECA Food Booth Is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!
We're so pleased to report that the NEECA Nibblers Food Booth is up and running. It was a great success at the recent Mustang Challenge, and will be open for both the Hunter Pace and Gymkhana events this coming weekend.

Larry Marshall & Bryan Mansfield are shown checking out their handiwork after installing the concession window.
FRANK WHITNEY - grew up on Quim-Lou Stables in Phillipston and raised two children in the area. He graduated from Narragansett and is a 33-year Army National Guard veteran with two Iraq tours.
His involvement in the former Pioneer Valley Horse Association led him to become Event Coordinator for the Spring Poker Ride, Elwin Bacon Memorial Fun Day & 7 event Gymkhana series (currently in its 9th year), recently holding the largest to date with 38 competitors, including SIX Lead-Liners! Year-end Division Champions receive Buckles-awards at the annual Fall Social.
Often found at NEECA, he assumed much of the grounds maintenance from the late Elwin Bacon. He with Ann’s help, spend many hours each month mowing grass & trails, cutting brush, arena dragging, and much of the set-up work for NEECA events and park rentals.
Frank enjoys trail riding and competing in local games & gymkhanas, in addition to NEECA events. Frank currently resides in Barre, MA with Ann and their 7 horses, mini donkey, 4 goats, 3 dogs and a housecat.
IT'S BACK!!
It's been over two, long years but the NEECA tradition of gathering together at the end of the season to socialize and share some great memories at our Fall Social is finally back.

We hope you can join us at the Ellinwood Country Club in Athol on Saturday, Nov. 5th for an incredible buffet dinner, a fun auction and some great company. We will be also handing out some awards and special recognitions during the evening.

Ticket reservations are now available by contacting Caroline Mansfield. Ticket prices are $30/adult and $15/child (under 12 yrs.) Seating is limited at this event, and tickets usually go fast, so don't delay in reaching out to reserve yours today.

Have an item or service you'd like to donate to the auction? Please contact Althea Bramhall regarding any auction donations.
