This dynamic panel will focus on the future of the New England power system as envisioned in the initiatives outlined by the New England States in late 2020 and the Future Grid study efforts underway at ISO New England (ISO-NE) and the New England Power Pool (NEPOOL). The discussion will highlight resource development and emerging grid-scale technologies that will be needed in the New England power system to fulfill the states’ long-term decarbonization goals. The speakers will provide insights into the analyses and initiatives under active discussion with New England stakeholders. Panelists will share how existing developers and new entrants in the marketplace are configuring their portfolios to align with the states’ goals.
