NEFLIN, PLAN, SEFLIN and TBLC are excited to bring you this year's edition of our collaborative conference, Florida Libraries Online! This year's theme is Libraries Reimagined. As we did last year, each MLC developed a track for the conference that fits into a larger concept. This year we're discussing how libraries are emerging from our pandemic cocoons with new ways of looking at how we operate.
NEFLIN's track focuses on Library Services Reimagined. We are bringing you three breakout sessions:
-
Book Takeout and User-Focused Delivery with Ned Potter, University of York (UK).
-
You Can't Predict the Future, But You Can Prepare for it! with Callan Bignoli, Olin College of Engineering.
-
A Tale of Two Libraries: Differing Reopening Strategies a panel discussion with Mary Brown, Union County Public Library, and Jackie Spiritas, Jacksonville Public Library.
All this and a fantastic keynote from Shola Richards! Please join us for a great day of discussion and sharing. Please visit www.floridalibrarytraining.com for more information and to register!
This conference is partly funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act program. Florida’s LSTA program is administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.

NEFLIN Annual Survey Update
|
|
We received 394 responses to this year's Annual Survey, and we are now busy analyzing the data and incorporating your feedback into our NEFLIN services. We'd like to give a big thanks to everyone who participated this year! Staff members from 46 of our 54 member libraries took the survey and the majority of respondents (52%!) work in Public Services.
We especially enjoyed reading the responses to this question: "What program/service does your library offer that you are most proud of?"
Responses this year include: One Button Studios, Lit Kits, teen cooking classes, 3D augmented reality, GIS and 3D printing training, textbook lending, seed libraries, technology lending programs, teaching cursive writing, story walks, TEAM Lab and STEM Kits, Re-entry programs, Books on the Quad, Passport services, online high school programs, and Hotspot checkouts.
Whew!!! Our libraries continue to expand and improve the ways they serve their communities, and we're so proud to be a part of the amazing work you do!
