Greetings!
It's true that almost everything we once considered "normal" has changed in the past year. I doubt anyone has been able to avoid feeling stretched, uncertain, and overwhelmed by the Covid-19 pandemic. We have been impressed, though, by the ways our NEFLIN members have met these challenges, finding new ways to deliver services and meet their communities' needs. That is, after all, what libraries do.
The pandemic has also provided us some new opportunities here at NEFLIN, including learning how to host a fully virtual conference, beginning the Next Level Library Leadership Institute, and growing our collection of on-demand training resources.
Remember that as you continue to encounter new challenges and unexpected obstacles, NEFLIN is here for you!

Next Level Library Leadership Institute Update
The Next Level Library Leadership Institute (NLLLI) is well underway, and we are excited to see the 20 participants from around Florida target and strengthen specific leadership skills. The inaugural NLLLI cohort has met together twice so far, but between sessions, the members are working closely with professional coaches and the NLLLI facilitator, Linda Bruno, to set and pursue goals for growth.
While NLLLI builds on the foundation of SSLLI, it is a very different program that creates more room for participants to take the driver's seat on their leadership journey. NLLLI is also completely online, which has allowed us to continue to offer a leadership program during the pandemic while also looking ahead to a fully face-to-face SSLLI once we are able to return to that format.
Stay tuned to your NEFLIN emails for future SSLLI and NLLLI plans and opportunities!

Best wishes to Jeannie Owens!
This announcement is so important, we are featuring it twice!
It's hard to imagine NEFLIN without Jeannie Owens, but after 17 years, the time has come for our beloved Administrative Assistant to begin a new adventure: Retirement!
If you've ever taken a NEFLIN workshop, attended a NEFLIN event, received a NEFLIN email, borrowed a piece of NEFLIN equipment, or worn a pair of NEFLIN shoes, you can thank Jeannie for the tireless work she has done behind the scenes to make that possible. On top of that, she is the friendly face you see when you walk in the office and the friendly voice you hear when you call. It certainly won't be the same here without her, but we share her excitement in reaching this well-deserved milestone.
Thank you, Jeannie, for all you've done for NEFLIN. You will be missed, but not forgotten!
If you'd like to send your best wishes to Jeannie, you can email her at jeannie@neflin.org or send cards to the NEFLIN Office by March 31st.
