Congratulations,
Innovation Project Recipients!
NEFLIN's Innovation Projects are designed to give our member libraries the opportunity to implement a new and innovative idea that will benefit their community. Applicants may receive up to $10,000 to make that idea a reality.

Eight NEFLIN libraries have just been awarded funding for this year's program, and their projects are now underway. Be looking for updates from each library at this year's NEFLIN Annual Meeting!
The recipients for the 2021-22 Innovation Projects are:

  • Alachua County Library District
  • Brevard County Public Library
  • Clay County Public Schools
  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Hunt Library)

Have you taken this year's
Annual Survey?
The NEFLIN Annual Survey is one of the best tools we have to find out what type of training, services, programs, and resources will be most beneficial to YOU.

It only takes 10-15 minutes of your time to complete the survey. Plus, we'll enter your name in a drawing for one of five $25 amazon.com gift cards.

Time's almost up...
Don't Miss It!

Featured Webinar:
Curb Appeal: Improving the Appearance of Libraries When You Don't Have Time or Money

You're proud of your collection, your programs, your staff, and your services. But the physical details of library also are what people remember and can encourage them to return.

There may be issues that don’t bother you even though other people have brought them up: dim bulbs, drab walls, a weird smell in tech services, broken concrete by the loading dock. What would a stranger notice first driving into the parking lot, walking up to the front door, spending time in the front lobby, or wandering around the basement, the stairs, or the stacks? Can you look at your library workplace with fresh eyes and find ways to make it shine, even on a limited budget?

Topics include: first impressions, updating your operational plan, removing clutter, affordable fixables, and keeping the library safe for the elderly, infirmed, and younger children.
Meet the Trainer: Pat Wagner
Pat Wagner has been a library trainer and consultant since 1978. She has been producing and facilitating online programs for over 20 years. Pat has been a frequent visitor to Florida library and was a facilitator for the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute.

Celebrating Library Shelfie Day 2022
Did your library celebrate #LibraryShelfieDay?
The NEFLIN staff looks forward to this biblio-holiday every year!
When you're a librarian leading a library cooperative that supports libraries across 24 counties in Northeast Florida, what book do you check out of YOUR local library? One about libraries, of course. 😀
Even though Beth is new to working with libraries, she is fully embracing the Library Joy on her first #LibraryShelfieDay. ❤️
We're so glad you're a part of NEFLIN , Beth!
Raymond is keeping his cataloging skills fresh by reorganizing his home library, starting with his own graphic novel collection.
Every librarian has a shelf of rescued library discards, right?

Old books are the best. ❤️
These training opportunities have been funded in part under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Florida Department of State, Division
of Library and Information Services.
For FY2021-22, the total state and federal budgets for NEFLIN's programs are $676,872. 41% of the total costs ($276,872) are supported by federal funds, and 59% of this program ($400,000) is supported by state funds.
