NEFLIN Annual Survey
We want your feedback!
Each year, we ask for your feedback in the NEFLIN Annual Survey. The information we get from the survey helps us know not just how we can improve, but also which programs and services would be most helpful to our members in the future. We invite YOU to take the survey today!
As an added incentive, we'll also enter everyone who takes the survey into a drawing for one of five $25 Amazon.com gift cards.

We look forward to hearing from you!

COOP Kickoff
On February 9th, representatives from 13 member libraries gathered at the Thrasher-Horne Center to officially kick off NEFLIN's COOP Planning Project. With guidance from our project facilitator, Jamie LaRue, the attendees began work on their COOP, or Continuity of Operations Plan. The completed plans will help library staff navigate manmade, natural, or technological emergencies that disrupt normal operations.

Over the next few months, the libraries will work closely with Jamie to develop their final plan.

Best of luck to all of our COOP libraries!

KidsLIb Mini-Con Returns!
After a three-year hiatus, we loved seeing Children's Services staff from all over Florida at last week's KidsLIB MiniCon!

More than 100 attendees traveled to the Marion County Public Library System in Ocala for this fun and informative day. Participants enjoyed keynotes by Jamie Campbell Naidoo and Rachel Giannini, breakout sessions on everything from shadow puppets to live streaming, lots of networking opportunities, and a swag bag full of goodies!
All in all, it's clear that libraries all across the State are providing amazing programs to our youngest Floridians.

NEFLIN and our friends at Tampa Bay Library Consortium are proud to sponsor this event, and we greatly appreciate all the work Jenny Ransone and the Marion County staff did to make this event a success!

Unlocking Leader Magic
with James Songster

Unlocking Leader Magic teaches today’s emerging leaders the same tools, strategies, and expertise that James has used during his successful 30 year career in Training and Development with Disney. Participants in this program gain the knowledge and tools to create impact and compel lasting, positive change. In times of uncertainty, crisis, and change, today's teams and organizations need skilled leaders like never before.
This immersive experience is designed to equip participants with the tools and skills to be an empowered and empowering leader

Learning objectives include:

  • Explore various leadership styles and develop the skills of a situational leader
  • Develop effective communication and awareness of communication dynamics
  • Understand how your personal leadership styles bridge the difference between intent vs impact
  • Establish a values-based method for guiding personal leadership decision making
  • Answer the question, “Is leadership what you say, or what you do?”
Trainer: James Songster
James has enjoyed a career covering more than two decades in Training and Development for Walt Disney World. As the senior facilitator for Disney’s Youth Education Series College Edition, he taught seminars on Disney Leadership Skills, Improving Teamwork, and the foundational tools for building a Culture of Excellence.
