Apply now for a 2022 Innovation Project!

NEFLIN Innovation Projects provide up to $10,000 for NEFLIN member libraries to turn an innovative idea into a reality. Start brainstorming now - and remember: every library is different, so focus on a project that is innovative for YOUR library and situation.
This year, in order to assist libraries that have never received Innovation Project funding before, the NEFLIN Board of Directors will add points to those applications during the evaluation process. Read more about the Innovation Project guidelines at https://neflin.org/InnovationProject/.
The deadline will be here before you know it. Start innovating today!

Full-time and part-time employees of NEFLIN member libraries may apply for a stipend of up to $500 to be used toward registration and travel to library-related conferences, professional development, and classes that contribute to the continuing education of the applicant.

Laura Solomon is the Library Services Manager for the Ohio Public Library Information Network. She has been doing web development and design for twenty years, in both public libraries and as an independent consultant. She specializes in developing with Drupal. She has written three books about social media and content marketing, specifically for libraries, and speaks nationally on both these and technology-related topics. As a former children’s librarian, she enjoys bringing the “fun of technology” to audiences and in giving libraries the tools they need to better serve the virtual customer.

Exciting Upgrades at
St. Johns River State College
|
|
For many years, the students at St. Johns River State's Orange Park campus benefited from BIG library service in a SMALL library space. But we're excited to share that the library space at SJRSC Orange Park is now a perfect match for the resources and services available to students. With open spaces and high ceilings, tons of computers, comfortable seating areas, and meeting rooms for small groups, there's no doubt that the library is now the hub of the campus. In addition, the academic tutoring services and writing center are housed within the library for easy access for students and collaboration with the library staff.
The Orange Park campus offers an Associate in Arts transfer degree, as well as programs in Nursing, Medical Assisting, EMT, Paramedic Programs, and Engineering Technology. Some NEFLIN members will remember attending a NEFLIN Annual Meeting at the Thrasher-Horne Center, which is located on campus. St. Johns River State College has two other campuses in Palatka and St. Augustine.

For FY2021-22, the total state and federal budgets for NEFLIN's programs are $676,872. 41% of the total costs ($276,872) are supported by federal funds, and 59% of this program ($400,000) is supported by state funds. |
