NEFP's Project Uplift: Pardon Our Dust!
Dear friend of Northeast Emergency Food Program,

After months of preparation, many dumpster loads, and hundreds of cups of coffee, NEFP is finally entering the renovation phase of “Project Uplift.”

Since the beginning of the year, NEFP has been working hard to create a bolder, brighter and more efficient place to work, volunteer, serve and receive. With major facelifts to the waiting area, food pantry, clothing room, storage areas, prep areas, offices, kitchen and bathrooms – we are very excited to finally begin the major part of our year-long uplift journey!

From Wednesday, July 17 , to Friday, August 2, NEFP will begin renovations to the client/volunteer bathrooms, kitchen, clothing room and floors.

During this period of time, we ask for your help. We are seeking daily volunteers to assist the NEFP team in transforming our space. Projects will include: preparing and painting the walls and ceilings; tiling the floors; moving furniture and office, kitchen, and bathroom belongings into storage; helping demolish our kitchen cabinets; and more!

A few reminders:
  • As you visit, volunteer or drop of donations, please take extra care to observe all posted signs and instructions as many things will be changing or be on hold during this time.
  • We will still continue to remain open to serve clients in a modified way in our lower pantry.

Please help us make this large project possible by sharing this message with any family or friends who may like to join!

Thank you,
Team NEFP
