The Political Races are in full swing - with the primaries in May and presidential election in November.
So what does that mean for you?
Regardless of your political views or stand on the issues, it is your job to speak up and ensure your voice and those of your clients are heard.
This Association is one of the leading Health Insurance professional organizations. We are fighting every day to protect our industry, secure your future and the ability for your clients to obtain affordable, appropriate coverage.
Now is the time to take Action, because if not Now - When?
There are 3 opportunities for you to stand with your fellow insurance professionals and make a difference:
1)
The "State Day on the Hill" is scheduled for February 16th. We will be teaming up with our NAIFA partners to visit with our legislators in Indianapolis. One bill of particular interest is the Telemedicine Bill.

3)
Brokers Making a Difference - Can't attend this year, you can still help the cause by asking your clients to share their stories.... Successful renewals because of your team's efforts, struggles they were able to overcome because of your expertise, your guidance through the maze of options and your knowledge of industry trends and changes to help address their concerns about coverage and affordability in the future.

4)
NEIAHU Chapter Hosting a Legislative Meeting - Our Legislative Committee is working on providing an opportunity for us to hear from the candidates running to replace Marlin Stutzman's spot in the House of Representatives. This will be a great opportunity for us to learn about the candidates and to show case our chapter.
(SAVE the DATE: April 18th general membership meeting BACK ON - stay tuned for details.)
Your Chapter Board and Committee members' are hard at work to make the 2016 year memorable. But I want to a moment to recognize them for their efforts and commitment to our chapter and you, our members, this past year.

Unfortunately, we have had some changes to our board. Matt Hatfield, Vice President / President Elect has resigned and will not be able to serve his term beginning July 2016, and we say good bye to Nick Shipe, Media Relations, who has moved his family to Lansing Michigan.
To prepare for next year, the board will be holding a Midyear Strategic Planning Session. We will review committee goals, prioritize our "To Do" list, and begin the discussion about slating for next year's board. All members are welcomed to join in this planning session. Anyone wanting to learn more about a board position, and those considering stepping up to a leadership or committee chair position, please contact me or any of the board members. We need You, Now- please help!
(Details on the Midyear Strategic Planning Session will be coming next month - keep an eye out)
