AD114 - Adapting Your Communication for Successful Connections  will allow you to discover ways to improve your connections with prospective students, best practices for inbound and outbound communication, how to address challenges in the moment, and methods for effective follow-up that improve your effectiveness as an admissions professional.
AD115 -  Effective Questioning and Listening   provides an in-depth understanding of the purpose and types of meaningful questions. You’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of both questioning and listening, as well as new tools and techniques to help you refine your questioning and listening skills.
Congratulations to the 2018 Outstanding Graduate Achievement Award Recipients!
Each year at the NEPCSA Professional Development Conference, we ask schools to nominate graduates to receive a NEPCSA Outstanding Graduate Award. We would like to recognize the students that were selected to receive an award at the 2018 NEPCSA PDC!
 
Graduates were selected for the award based on the contributions that he/she has made to their career field, school or community based on:
  • Accomplishments
  • Academic Excellence
  • How the graduate maximized his/her performance and demonstrated outstanding potential for post-graduation employment.
  • The graduate’s extra efforts on behalf of the school, student body or community at large.
Justin Dutton, New England Tractor Trailer Training School:

Justin Dutton is a CDL A graduate of the NETTTS North Andover 600-hour weekend program. 

As a weekend student Justin gave up every Saturday and Sunday he could have spent with his family in order to better his life situation. From the beginning it was clear that Justin was very motivated to obtain his CDL and employment. Justin had perfect attendance, was an A student and passed his licensing exam on his first attempt, earning NETTTS “elite” status. Justin became employed with NFI shortly after obtaining his license. ​
Roshani Majmundar, Porter and Chester Institute:

Roshani graduated from the Medical Billing and Coding Program with a 4.0 average and had perfect attendance for the 9-month program. She was a Student Ambassador for 3 of her 4 terms at PCI Rocky Hill. She is also a member of the National Technical Honor Society.

She passed her Certified Professional Coder Exam, and was hired by her externship site due to her above average excellence with her skill set. She related well to her follow students and everyone loved her. Roshani was also attentive to detail and hard-working. She has earned all of the accolades she has received. She is a perfect example of “perseverance pays off”. 
Joselye Ortega, Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy:

Publicly know as Jawz (The Boston Braider) Joselyn was non stop feeding herself education from every teacher, video, and book she got her hands on in the school. She graduated with Honors in Attendance and also won a Nation wide Cut-Above Contest with TONI&GUY.

After graduation, she soared to the top of Boston's Braiding culture by doing members of the Boston Celtics, Red Sox and Patriot players’ hair. At her salon, 333 Salon & Barbershop, she applies professionalism in her relationships with clients and fellow stylists. In her spare time, Jawz participates in a mentorship program she started for young adults who financially cannot go to school, but are bursting to get their hands in her field of expertise. 
Sinead Politz, Porter and Chester Institute:

Sinead Politz graduated from the PCI Dental Assisting Program. As a recent widow raising two young children, she excelled beyond her own expectations.

Sinead was elected Student Ambassador, inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, and was a class leader, offering tireless support both academically and emotionally to her classmates. She excelled at her clinical externship sites and was offered a position as an Oral Surgery Assistant at CT Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Meriden, CT.

Sinead was an outstanding student that represented her program and her school with the utmost of integrity and elegance. She is a student speaker at graduation and she serves as an exemplary role model to all past, current, and future students. 
Brandon Ruis, New England Tractor Trailer Training School:

Brandon Ruis is an extremely dedicated, hardworking, and loyal student who quickly set himself apart in the HVAC-R program. While he was a student, Brandon maintained a 3.88 GPA and almost perfect attendance.

Brandon always helped his instructors with special projects when he was asked and he never complained.

Brandon is currently employed at Hussmann as an HVAC-R Apprentice and enjoys what he is doing. All the faculty and staff at NETTTS North Andover want Brandon to know they are proud of his accomplishments and the sacrifices he has made to achieve his dreams.  
Cedric Saysay, Porter and Chester Institute:

Before enrolling in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design program at Porter & Chester, Cedric spent 20 years as a mortgage analysis for Wells Fargo.

At PCI his peers voted him as the student ambassador for his program. He built lifelong relationships with his classmates and his energy and positive attitude drew every staff member to get to know him.

After graduating in April 2018, Cedric found quick employment with Ostro Electric as a Building Module Coordinator. He now enjoys the daily challenges in an industry he had wanted to be a part of for many years. 
Tori Zanco, Lincoln Technical Institute:

Tori Zanco graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute with a 3.98 GPA and attendance of 99.2%. Tori was a wonderful student, excelled and took great pride in her work. She is thoughtful, intelligent, kind, and well-mannered. She strives to do her best on every assignment. She is conscientious with an outstanding work ethic and organizational skills. She is eager to learn and encourages others to do well.

During her externship, Tori was dedicated and went above and beyond her actual duties. When faced with a work-related issue, Tori always kept a clear mind and made decisions in the best interest of the office and her fellow workers. She took on new tasks with ease, and needed very little instruction or supervision.

Tori is currently working at Weston Pediatric Dentistry.
