Legislative Update
Annual Day on the Hill
Last month, NEPCSA members attended the Annual Day on the Hill in Massachusetts.

During the program, members had the opportunity to meet with the legislators representing their schools and discuss the Student Recovery Fund and the repercussions that would come with this bill's passage.
The Latest on the Student Recovery Fund
On Monday, July 8th, the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure held a public hearing for the proposed Student Recovery Fund Bill, S164.H3807. The hearing was held at the Massachusetts State House. NEPCSA's was represented at the hearing by Executive Director, Cathy Flaherty as well as President, Jim Bologa and Vanessa Richmond, both from Porter and Chester Institute.

Your help is needed to defeat the Student Tuition Recovery Fund!

Please send a letter to your legislators and to the chairs of the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure.

Board of Directors Appointments
NEPCS is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members, including
Karla Dzwonkowski and Sue Naples, both from Lincoln Technical Institute!
Karla Dzwonkowski
Karla Dzwonkowski is the Campus President for the Lincoln Technical School in New Britain, CT. She has been with Lincoln for 20 years.

She started her employment as the receptionist in 1999 and over the years has held many positions including Registrar, Financial Aid Advisor, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Director of Financial Aid, and Regional Director of Financial Aid. 

She was appointed as Campus President in September 2018. 

Karla graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas in New Britain, CT in 1995. 

Susan Naples
Susan Naples has worked in the educational section for almost 30 years at nationally and regionally accredited institutions. She has held the title of Registrar, Director of Education, National Director of Education, Campus President, and Regional Campus President. She is currently the Campus President for Lincoln Technical/Culinary Institute in Shelton, CT. 

Susan holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Rosemont College, an M.A. in Adult Education from Widener University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Capella University. In addition to her current role, she is an adjunct online mathematics professor for Thomas Edison State University.
