CARES Act Summary
The Senate this week passed its $2.2 trillion coronavirus emergency stimulus package, known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. T he House is set to do the same on Friday, March 27, paving the way for the President to sign the bill into law. While the focus of the legislation is not tax, a large number of tax provisions are included in the 600-plus-page bill.
