Academic advisors are here to help students navigate success

Not sure what is the best way to navigate your academic future?

Advisors offer a wide range of help for students to assist in planning for their success attending Northeastern Technical College.

Students are expected to receive notification during the advisement period and can download the Advisory form in D2L. Students can select upcoming Spring 2024 classes and sessions and NETC Enrollment Center will process student selections.

Through advisement, students can determine which classes to take for workforce programs, associate degrees, transferring to a four-year university.

Advisors typically are instructors and faculty who provide students with general support and guidance and can be a sounding board for students who are struggling academically, personally, or professionally as well as help students connect with other resources on campus, such as tutoring services, financial aid counseling, and career counseling.

NETC students are assigned a Primary Advisor, who are typically instructors or faculty, and a Secondary Advisor who is in the NETC Enrollment Center.

When the Primary Advisor and student determine the next courses to take, the secondary advisor places the student in classes.

Students can locate their advisors in their personal self-service account.

To the Point:

  • You can talk to your Academic Advisor anytime.
  • The name of your assigned Primary Advisor is located in your self-service account.
  • Download your Advisory form in D2L.
