Demolition officially begins on NETC Cheraw campus

CHERAW CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION MAP

Construction will create changes to entries,

walkways and parking on the Cheraw Campus.


Access on the east side of campus can be made through the 200 Building, the 300 Building gate and the east entrance of the 500 Building. The construction area will block access and parking at the 800 Building and west side of the 500 Building.

NETC Foundation is a non-profit organization providing student scholarships and assists in capital, emergency and equipment expenses.

Marlboro County campus construction continues


Work crews continue interior demolition in portions of the Marlboro County campus. NETC officials broke ground June 21 to renovate 19,000 square feet as well as an addition of 10,000 square feet for diesel mechanics, CNC, Machine Tool, and construction technology.

Trailblazers begin golf season at Fincastle Collegiate


BLUEFIELD, Va. -- Northeastern Technical College's very young golfers blazed their first trail playing against collegiate programs for the first time.



The Trailblazers traveled Sept. 18-19 to Bluefield, Va., competing in the Fincastle Intercollegiate where the team played 6,772 yards on a Par 70 course at Fincastle Golf Club.

NETC runs at Yeti


The Trailblazers lone runner Jeremy Clark returned for the second season competing Sept. 23 at the Yeti Invitational in Shelby, N.C.  

Clark ran the 8000 meters (approximately 4.9 miles) with a time of 49:46.6.  


The Trailblazers set out Sept. 29 for the Chanticleer Challenge at Coastal Carolina.  

NETC Esports kickoff with Madden,

Contender Series play starts this week


The gaming Trailblazers enter the esports season with NCJAA Premier Series (Tier 1) facing top level competition. 


Nick Oakley, of Chesterfield, posted a 0-2 record in Super Smash Brothers facing off against Northwest Florida State College and Union College.  


“Nick is looking to get in the win column in his Week 3 match-up against Mott Community College,” NETC Esports Head Coach Tyler Nolan said.  


On Madden, Billy Thompson, of Cheraw, sits at 1-1 after two weeks of play due to a forfeit in Week 1 but lost a close one to Carl Albert State College in Week 2. 


Billy takes on a player from Dallas College - Eastfield in Week 3. 


The Contender Series (Tier 2) begins the week of Oct. 2 with the Trailblazers fielding teams for Call of Duty 4x4, Overwatch, and Warzone, along with Madden and Super Smash Bros.  


NETC athletes play under the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Northeastern Technical College athletes must maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average and 12 credit hours for the semester. Under the NJCAA rules, there are no age caps for participation.
