Road Safety Colleagues,
It has only been a few short weeks since our February NETSWork newsletter, yet during this period we have experienced an unprecedented situation as virtually every corner of the globe deals with the challenges of COVID-19. The landscape and priorities of many have changed dramatically for both organizations and individuals alike. As a member-driven organization, NETS is committed to putting our members and
Sponsor partners
at the center of all we do and I want to personally wish everyone the very best in the coming days, weeks and months as we face this crisis together.
As many of you know, NETS Benchmark was launched earlier this month with target submission dates set for April 10th at the latest. However, with the pandemic crisis impacting many, we are extending data entry deadlines by 30 days for those who need it in order to afford members additional time and flexibility to gather and submit their data. We will work on a case by case basis in order to provide every possible opportunity to participate in the Benchmark process this year.
Another way NETS can assist during this difficult time is through our
Driven to Wellness
toolkit launched earlier in the year. Within the toolkit employers will find resources to help employees maintain a healthy lifestyle including handling stress, getting enough sleep, and eating a balanced diet. More information can be found below. In addition, this issue includes a number of COVID-19 related articles and information designed to help everyone during these uncertain times.
Looking ahead to the fall, our annual
NETS Strength IN Numbers ® Benchmark Conference
, scheduled for October 14-15th in Denver, Colorado, remains on track. Clearly that is good news. However, with the ongoing pandemic, we continue to monitor matters closely and if needed will make adjustments with the conference as appropriate. In the meantime, efforts are progressing nicely in filling our conference proceedings with unique and value-added speakers and Sponsor partner events.
I commend everyone for their cooperation during this challenging time and wish everyone the best of health and wellness in the weeks to come.
Take care.
