Greetings road safety colleagues. I hope this finds everyone safe and healthy. What a month it has been! As we close October, NETS is grateful for the tremendous support and enthusiasm experienced during our recent Strength IN Numbers ® Benchmark Conference.
Less than 6 months ago, many of us would never have imagined we would be sharing a debrief following our first ever “virtual” conference event. Times have definitely changed with the ongoing global pandemic — but with the help and support of our valued NETS members, Road Safety Sponsors and road safety advocates, I am thrilled to say we made it through, and with record setting registration as well! Like every conference, the measure of success is evidenced by the quality of its speakers and I could not be more proud of those who gave their time, energy and expertise during the conference proceedings. It is clear that enthusiasm for road safety remains a priority for many — and rightly so given the challenging road safety statistics we continue to see during these unique times.
Building on the momentum of the conference, NETS value-added Sector Meetings were held the week following the conference. Road safety colleagues across the Agriculture, Insurance, Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), and Utility sectors came together for dedicated “deep dive” networking meetings to openly exchange road safety ideas, challenges and future aspirations during what was truly a unique and productive experience.
Looking back on the past several weeks, I continue to be amazed at the passion NETS members and conference participants have displayed with their employer road safety efforts. I am certain lives on our nation's and global roadways have been saved as a result.
Thank you for your efforts and I wish everyone continued success.

Successful Annual Conference and
Sector Meetings Concluded!
NETS 2020 VIRTUAL Strength IN Numbers® Fleet Safety Benchmark Conference, conducted October 13-15, saw record attendance and participation. THANK YOU to all keynote speakers, presenters, NETS Road Safety Sponsors, and conference participants for your engagement and continued dedication to road safety!
**Conference participants may continue to access conference presentations and recordings through November 15, 2020 in Whova, the conference platform. In addition, all conference attendees are reminded to please take a moment to complete the conference survey (found in Whova under the Resource Section) if you haven't already done so.**
The week following the conference, NETS members and conference participants attended various sector meetings including Agriculture, Insurance, Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), and Utility to network with road safety peers and learn about sector-specific road safety perspectives relevant to ALL employer fleets from industry leaders.
