Hello WW Philadelphia Members,

Today is a genuinely exciting day! It’s November 8th-- the official launch of the New WW PersonalPoints™ Program!

I have had the opportunity to live this plan for the last six weeks and this is the absolute best program WW – Weight Watchers has ever brought to us, the Members.
The algorithm for the Points™ has been updated to match the best weight loss science, nudging us to eat less added sugar and more unsaturated fat and fiber.

I’ve been on a 31-year journey of developing healthier habits and I will still take all the help I can get.

I have to say, I LOVE the ability to add Points to my daily target. When I completed the Food Engine, I really liked my personalized ZeroPoint™ food choices. But when I saw my daily target was only 23 per day, and my weekly was 28 per week, I was worried. However, I have found my daily target is going a lot further than my previous target because of my ZeroPoint food choices. Foods I like and eat often but they’re still foods I’m unlikely to overeat.

Now, the best part! I’m able to earn MORE daily Points by eating vegetables. I’ll admit I’m not always the best veggie eater. I’d rather eat 4-6 fruits per day. I’m finding myself consistently eating 3-7 servings of vegetables a day and during a couple of those days, I ate 9!

One of the remarkable things about this NEW Points process is even though I had more Points to use I didn’t use very many of them. It’s kind of a game for me to earn the Points but one that has great benefits, like a 2.4-pound weight loss one week of the last six and some weight loss on all the other weeks.
Of course, there’s the water Point. For me, I’m not as excited about that Point. It’s only one Point and I usually drink water in the 36–48-ounce range. I could try a little harder on this one but it’s easier to eat another cup of veggies.

The formula for Points awarded for activity has changed a little too. One, the Points earned move themselves right into the weeklies, I like that part. Two, many activities earn fewer Points than they did before. I must admit that makes sense because they are moving right into my weeklies giving me those extra SPLURGE Points I always need on the weekend.

This is the time of year that I make a special effort to be thankful and I’m thankful for this innovation that makes WW- Weight Watchers feel so NEW and FRESH to this sometimes plan weary Member.

I remember the worst program WW ever had, and it was called Freedom Plan with Weekends Off. This was right before the first version of Points. Now, who in their right mind would tell someone who struggles with eating foods in the right portions you can have weekends off?

I know for many of us, changes aren’t easy, we like getting set into our comfortable routines but then there’s a time when a little change is like a leg squeeze and a heel nudge to my horse’s side, it encourages her to move forward in the direction she needs to go.

Our Staff at WW Philadelphia is here for you, we’re excited to share with you this newest program innovation and we’ve been working weeks preparing ourselves to help you experience the New PersonalPoints Program!
