BIA Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter Members -
Dear Colleagues,
The devastation caused by the Eaton and Palisades Fires is almost beyond comprehension—thousands of structures lost, businesses destroyed, and countless lives forever changed. For the people of Altadena and Pacific Palisades, recovery isn't just about rebuilding homes; it’s about restoring hope, stability, and community.
It’s been over 120 days since the fires, and yet the wheels of government continue to turn slowly—even in the face of crisis. But our industry is ready. Ready to lead, ready to act, and ready to build.
Recently, the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC) sent a delegation to Washington, D.C., to advocate for our members and the broader homebuilding industry. Our team participated in 20 high-level meetings, engaging directly with the White House, federal agencies, and bipartisan members of Congress to ensure our priorities are heard and understood at the highest levels.
At home, our PAC held its first strategy session for the upcoming election cycle. We're focused on strengthening our voice locally, and your involvement is critical. One of the best ways to build that strength is by expanding our membership—so please, invite your subcontractors and colleagues to join us.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting events on the horizon:
Monday, June 2nd: Our Annual Golf Tournament returns to the beautiful Industry Hills Golf Club.
Tuesday, August 26th: We’ll head to Chavez Ravine to cheer on the World Champion Dodgers as they take on the Cincinnati Reds for our annual Dodgers Baseball Night.
Let’s continue to focus on collaboration, communication, and unity as we move forward together in 2025.
Onward,
Nathan Keith
