University project underway to improve signage
|
Artist's rendering of new entrance sign for Parkview Campus |
Western Michigan University is in the midst of a campus-wide wayfinding project that will include new and better signage marking roads and various area of the University; the Parkview Campus is included in this initiative.
Signs are being installed on University property on Parkview Avenue and Drake Road announcing the entrance to the WMU Parkview Campus. This area includes Asylum Lake, the BTR Park--including phase two at Colony Farm, Gibbs House, the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the Bronco Soccer Complex.
Once the new signs are completed, the WMU monument sign at the entrance to the BTR Park will be removed, as this area is only a part of the overall Parkview Campus. This will make the BTR Park monument sign more visible from Drake and Parkview roads. Signs will only be installed on WMU property and in the University easements, not on private property.
