The next four rounds of 2016 Standards CEA/AEA exams are open for registration ! At all locations, are ALL types of CEA & AEA exams are offered: both Residential & Non-Residential New Exams and both Res & Nonres CEA Re-Certifications (for current 2013 Standards CEAs)!

FREE, IN-PERSON full-day workshops focus on preparing candidates to take the multiple-choice and modeling portions of the Certified Energy Analyst (CEA) exams administered through  CABEC . The workshops include:

  • Gathering and organizing plan take-offs
  • Identifying common modeling mistakes

All classes are held 8:30am - 4:30pm and are  FREE of charge .

  • Further resources for exam preparation and other materials can be found on our website. The Investor Owned Utilities' course calendars and EnergyCodeAce include seminars on modeling and Title 24 topics that you may also find helpful in preparing for exams.
  • MEMBER DISCOUNTS are automatically calculated once you log in on our website. Is your CABEC Membership current? Before you pay full price for a CEA Exam, confirm your Membership status, or review all Membership options and re-activate your CABEC Membership to get the best prices on all CEA exams!
  • Full CEA Exams cost $350 for active CABEC Members, $700 for non-Members. Full CEA Exams are all day, generally from 8am to 5pm (some exams start and end half an hour earlier).
  • Re-Certifications: If you have already passed both portions of the 2013 CEA Exam, you are eligible to take the 2016 Residential and/or Non-Residential CEA Re-Certification Exams; $200 for CABEC Members, $300 for non-Members. You can take both of these Re-certs on the same day (or even during the same 4-hour morning or afternoon session!); just register for each Re-Cert separately online. The Residential Re-Certification is a 26 Multiple Choice Exam and the Non Residential Re-Certification is a 15 Multiple Choice Exam. 
  • If you previously passed one portion of the the 2013 Standards CEA Exam but not the other portion, we can accommodate you with a discounted rate. Click to see partial exam options and associated reg fees for the 2016 Standards.
