NEW IBERIA, La. --- Two New Iberia based business owners, Howard Kingston with Books Along the Teche and Dana A. Romero with A Spot for Tea, an Acadian Tea Room, announced via
Facebook video that they have partnered their respective business to launch a new initiative to bring more visitors to Downtown New Iberia.
“The initiative 'Double Team Downtown' is a way for downtown businesses to partner with each other to give patrons a reason to visit both businesses when they are in Downtown New Iberia,” said Romero. “So, when someone buys something from Books Along the Teche they can walk next door to A Spot for Tea and get 10% off their purchase. A win for the customer and a win for both businesses.”
“We appreciate what you (Dana) are doing, and we want to keep everyone spending their money here,” Kingston stated in the Facebook video.
The initiative, headed by Romero, is looking for more Downtown Businesses to partner with as its main goal is to give consumers more reasons to both spend their hard-earned money, and their time, here in Downtown New Iberia.
