The Office of Distance & Alternative Education is proud to announce that a new online exam proctoring tool is now available: Respondus Instructor Live Proctoring. This new extension of the Respondus LockDown Browser allows faculty to conduct synchronous online exam sessions using LockDown Browser in conjunction with their choice of web conferencing tool (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.). The instructor monitors the students’ webcams with the security of administering a LockDown Browser-required test, preventing a student from using other applications on their device. Using an access code the instructor assigns, Respondus Instructor Live Proctoring prevents unauthorized exam starts to ensure all students begin the exam at the same time.

Respondus Instructor Live Proctoring is available now to use in your online classes. Instructions for faculty and students are available at the links below. You may want to include these in your syllabi and orientation information pages. For more information about the various proctored testing tools available at ACC, please consult the TLED Testing Guide.
