Failed Texas Bathroom Bill on Special Session Agenda
Texas lawmakers head back to Austin next month for a special session to debate unfinished business, and the "Bathroom Bill" is on the agenda. The controversial legislation would require
transgender people to use bathrooms for their biological sex instead of gender identity in public schools, universities and government buildings.
"This is overt discrimination that will put transgender students in dangerous situations - physically and emotionally," said Legacy CEO
Katy Caldwell
. "Our mental health counselors are here to help families who will be struggling with this for years to come if this bill is signed into law."
