Volume XX | Month Day 20XX
NEW PROGRAM FOR KIDS AGES 9-14!
WINTER BREAK CAMP: ALL ABOUT MASKS!
Join our very own Art Encounter Teaching Artist Ms. Yadi on Zoom over winter break for two fun mask-making art camps! Each week, we'll explore the mask theme in creative ways: Character & Animal Masks in Session One, Superheroes & Villains in Session Two. We will provide your art supply kit before the first class, and Ms. Yadi will show you amazing masks from around the world, then help you use a variety of fun art materials to create your very own. On the final day of each session, you will use what you've learned about masks from Ms. Yadi to decorate a beautiful linen facemask for yourself or a loved one. You'll definitely want to wear your creation around town!

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:
Ms. Yadi has been a teaching artist for Art Encounter since 1998. She has taught after-school programs with District 65, Y.O.U. and in dozens of our Evanston and Chicago Public School in-school programs. As a painter and sculptor in various media, she likes to take risks by mixing materials that might not otherwise be considered companions. She has sold hundreds of artworks, including commissions for corporate clients, public art, residential clients and private collectors. She owned a Popup Gallery at the Andersonville Galleria from 2007 – 2011, as well as YadiArt Spot Gallery in Evanston from 2008-2010, which represented six other artists. She's been teaching on Zoom since March, and is looking forward to this winter camp!
Art Encounter | artencounter.org

We believe that art should be accessible for everyone. Our mission is to educate, empower, and connect people of all ages and backgrounds though interactive encounters with art. We take members into artists’ studios and private collections, leading conversations that connect them with the art and with one another. Our outreach programs bring enriching art experiences to ten times as many, in the public schools and in senior residences. And our murals transform the walls and the lives of the whole community.
