Explore Title V Maternal and Child Health Service Block Grant Measures from the Combined 2022-2023 National Survey of Children's Health on the Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health

The Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DRC), a project of the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI), under a cooperative agreement with the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), is excited to announce the release of the National Performance Measures (NPMs), National Outcome Measures (NOMs) and Standardized Measures (SMs) data findings from the 2022-2023 National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH).

The NSCH is designed to provide national and state-level estimates on key indicators of health and well-being of children, their families and communities, as well as information about the prevalence and impact of special health care needs. The combined 2022-2023 NSCH dataset includes data from 109,265 children ages 0-17 years. By leveraging this larger analytic sample size, data users can analyze small population groups and rare outcomes that are not sufficiently represented in a single year sample as well as produce national and state-level estimates with smaller standard errors.

Additional Child and Family Health Measures from the 2022-2023 NSCH will be available in November 2024 with easy-to-use downloadable datasets arriving in January. And be on the lookout for single year 2023 NSCH data coming to the DRC’s interactive data query and available for download in Spring 2024!
